India Signed Under Ramsar Convention On 1st February 1982.
India Has Now 49 Ramsar Sites.
Sundarban Is The Largest Ramsar Sites Of India /9West Bengal)
Chilika Lake (Odisha) And Keoladeo National Park (Rajasthan) Were Recognized As The First Ramsar Sites Of India.
Uttar Pradesh Has Most Ramsar Sites (10)
Renuka Wetland (20 Hectare) In Himachal Pradesh Is The Smallest Wetland Of India.
World's First Ramsar Site Was Cobourg Peninsula, In Australia in 1974.
United Kingdom Has 175 Ramsar Sites (Most In The World)
