POWERS OF PRESIDENT -

a) EXECUTIVE POWER - 

* Appoints Prime Minister And Other Ministers. 

* Appoints Attorney General, CAG, Chairman  And Member Of UPSC, Governor Of States etc. 

* Directly Adminsters In UTs. 

* Appoints Inter-State Council. 

* Declare Any Are As Schedule Area And So On. 


b) LEGISLATIVE POWER - 

* Summon Or Prorogue Parliament And Dissolve Lok Sabha. 

* Summon Joint Sitting 

* Address First Session Of Parliament Every Year And After Each General Election. 

* Promulgate Ordinance. 

* Give Assent, Withhold Or Return a Bill And So On. 


c) FINANCIAL POWER - 

* Money Bill Introduced In Parliament With His Prior Recommendation. 

* He Is Cause To Be Laid Down Annual Financial Statement. 

* Constitute Finance Commission Every 5 Years. 

* No Demand For Grant Can Be  Made Except On His Recommendation. 

* Make Advances Out Of Contingency Fund Of India. 


d) JUDICIAL POWER - 

* Appointment Of Chief Justice And Judges Of Supreme Court. 

* Seek Advice From Supreme Court On Any Question Of Law Or Fact. 

* Pardoning Power. 

e) DIPLOMATIC POWER - 

* Represents India In International Forum. 

* Sends And Receives Diplomats. 

* International Treaties And Agreements Are On Behalf Of President. 


f) MILITARY POWER - 

* Supreme Commander Of Defense Forces. 


g) EMERGENCY POWER -
