* Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh Has Introduced The Public Examination ( Prevention Of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill 2026 At Lok SABHA 

*  Lok SABHA Passes The Public Examination ( Prevention Of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill On 29th July 2026 

* Punishment For Persons Resorting To Unfair Means Has Enhanced From Imprisonment From 3 Years To 5 Years 

* Maximum Fine Has Increase From 10 Lakhs To 50 Lakhs 

* For Service Providers Involved In Such Offences Maximum Fine Has Increase From 1 Crores To 5. CRORES 

* And The Period Of Debarment From Conducting Public Examination Has Increase From 4 To 8 Years 

* Amendment Bill Provides The Establishment Of Special Fast Track Court For Offence Related To Public Examination ( Envisaged With in Two Months) 

* The Bill Also Provides For APOINTMENT Of Special Public Prosecutor And Empower The Government To Constitute The Special Task Force For Investigation Under This Act 

*  The Union Cabinet Has Approved The Amendment To Anti - Paper Leak Bill ( The Public Examination Prevention Of Unfair Means Act 2024 

*  India Has Constituted The Task Force On NTA Examination
